Waterfront home sale breaks Apollo Beach record
A waterfront home in Mustique Bay has broken the record for Apollo Beach’s highest residential sale.
The home at 6520 Surfside Blvd., which has a heated square footage of 5,140 square feet, sold for $4.2 million this week. Located within the gated neighborhood Mustique Bay, the recently renovated home sits on a 100-foot-wide, 0.66-acre lot and sold for double its sale price five years ago.
“Breaking the highest sale record in Apollo Beach with this listing highlights the growing demand for quality luxury waterfront homes that are still a great value in today’s market. I’ve had the privilege of selling this home three times, and its latest sale reflects just how far the Apollo Beach market has evolved,” Coldwell Banker Realty agent Jennifer Zales, who represented the buyer and seller, said in a statement. “Among Tampa Bay’s coastal communities, Apollo Beach continues to stand out for its waterfront lifestyle and relative affordability.”

The five-bedroom home was built in 2005. It was listed at $4.5 million and sat on the market for 96 days, according to an MLS listing. The home last sold in 2020 for $2.1 million, according to Hillsborough County property records.
It has new wood flooring throughout, a chef’s kitchen with Taj Mahal quartzite countertops, custom cabinetry and a new wine refrigerator and a first-floor master suite with Bay views.
Outside, there’s a saltwater infinity pool, a covered living area with a summer kitchen and built-in grill, a private dock with a covered boat lift and a fire pit.
In addition to the three bedrooms, there is a family room, game room, breakfast room, formal dining room, and more.
The home also has three new air conditioning units, landscape lighting, exterior fans, garage door system and upgraded window treatments. It also had a new roof installed in June.
Other features include high ceilings, walk-in closets and appliances like a microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher.
