The Great West Chase Turns 25 — And We're All In

Twenty-five years ago, a handful of neighbors laced up their sneakers and started a race through the streets of Westchase. This October 31, that race turns 25 — and The Bryan Coward Team is proud to be a sponsor.

Since 2002, The Great West Chase has grown from a neighborhood run into one of Tampa Bay's biggest community race days — over 1,300 runners, walkers, and families lacing up every year. A 10K. A 5K. A kids' fun run that turns West Park Village into one giant finish line. And every year, 100% of the net proceeds go straight to math and literacy programs at our local elementary schools.

That's 25 years of Westchase showing up for Westchase. We wanted to be part of it.

Why We Sponsor

We live here. We coach CrossFit down the street, mentor kids through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and built the Westchase Business Network because this neighborhood deserves infrastructure, not just an address. Sponsoring The Great West Chase is the same instinct: put resources behind the things that make this community worth running through.

What: The Great West Chase — 10K, 5K, and Kids' Fun Run When: Saturday, October 31, 2026

• 10K: 7:00 AM
• 5K: 8:00 AM
• Kids' Fun Run: 9:00 AM 

Where: West Park Village Town Center

Packet Pickup: Thursday, October 29, 10 AM–1 PM and 3–6 PM, Westchase Recreation Center (9791 Westchase Dr.)

Registration: Online via RunSignUp — early registration closes September 15. Race-day registration is available.

Both the 10K and 5K are USATF/RRTC certified courses, so if you're chasing a PR, this is a fast, fair place to do it.
