Sarasota home still under construction sells for nearly $15 million
A mansion still under construction on Sarasota Bay has sold for $14.8 million — the highest-priced home sale in Sarasota County so far in 2025.
Michael Saunders & Co., a Sarasota real estate brokerage, announced the sale Wednesday. Sarasota County property records show the transaction closed on March 10. The seller was an Atlanta-based corporate entity; the buyer is an Illinois-based entity. Voigt Brothers is the home’s general contractor.
The home is 6,500 square feet, and the sales price breaks down to over $2,276 per square foot.
The brokerage said in a news release that the home is at 1490 Hillview Drive and has 100 feet of southern-facing open water views.
“We are incredibly proud of our team who worked on the sale of this property, located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Sarasota,” Barbara May, who led the sale for Michael Saunders & Co, said in a statement. “This under-construction home offers highly sought-after bayfront living and is a reflection of the strength of the real estate market in this region for exceptional luxury properties.”
The home has five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a three-car side entry garage and an elevator. It also includes a generator that can power the entire house, according to the brokerage.
