Race car driver buys Tampa mansion where Tom Brady shot commercials

A champion race car driver and luxury home developer has purchased the Harbour Island mansion where NFL legend Tom Brady once filmed commercials.
Jason Bell and his wife, Danielle Bell, paid $6.65 million for the home at 927 Anchorage Road in a sale that closed in late August, Hillsborough County property records show. Jason Bell is a multiyear GT4 series champion and also the owner of Prestige Property Development.
“We are excited to begin the next chapter of our lives in this vibrant neighborhood, known for its stunning water views and close proximity to the city’s cultural and social hubs,” Bell said in a statement. “Our relocation marks a new milestone as we settle into one of the area’s most desirable addresses, embracing the unique lifestyle that Harbor Island has to offer.”
The sellers were Punit and Carla Shah, who paid $2.6 million for the 5,594-square-foot home in 2017. Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the Shahs in the transaction. The house was listed for $6.9 million in May after an “extensive, $2 million, down-to-the-studs” renovation, according to listing materials. Punit Shah is CEO of Liberty Group and a minority owner of the Miami Marlins.
Zales said the $6.65 million price is a record for Harbour Island.
“Representing this property and achieving a milestone of this scale is deeply rewarding,” Zales said in a statement, “and reflects the growing demand for Tampa Bay luxury real estate.”
