Odessa equestrian estate sells for over $3 million

A gated equestrian estate in Odessa has sold for $3.65 million in what Premier Sotheby's International Realty calls a record-breaking sale within its ZIP code.
The property at 19144 Huckavalle Road is on the Hillsborough County side of Odessa, which spans Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Sotheby's said the sale is the highest in ZIP code 33556 so far this year.
Karen Hegemeier and Alee Douglass of Sotheby’s South Tampa office represented the seller in the transaction. John Pestalozzi of Westward Real Estate represented the buyer.
“This extraordinary property offered a rare blend of refined living, equestrian excellence and unparalleled natural beauty,” Hegemeier and Douglass said in a statement. “A sale of this caliber reflects the growing demand for private estates that provide both luxury and a meaningful connection to the land.”
The main residence spans over 5 acres. The property is also home to a 20-stall barn with multiple storage and bath facilities. The guest house is on its own 5.49-acre parcel, according to Sotheby's. The main residence also includes a lanai with a resort-style pool and spa.
"Tucked between the Lake Frances and Lake Dan Nature Preserves and bordered by 1,000 acres of Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program land, the property offers a rare blend of privacy, serenity, and immersion in Florida’s natural beauty," Sotheby's said in a statement.
